About Joe Kenney

  • We are often asked to bring our body to work … and maybe our mind as well. But we’re often asked to leave our spirit or passions at the door. Like a three-legged stool, that’s exhausting to maintain balance and very difficult be truly impactful. I emphasize a whole-person model.

We all have a unique set of core talents and other areas that are more challenging. I believe effective leadership is leveraging our strengths, while respecting the diversity of strengths and intercultural dynamics of others.

I believe excellent leaders know when and how to follow as well. We all are accountable to someone. So good followership is key to good leadership.

My mother once wrote, “May your cross become your crown”. She truly believed that hardships and challenges, if managed well, can actually become a shining moment or one’s strength. My style often utilizes experiential learning to leverage hardships or challenges into successes.

I see myself as your partner in your personal journey. My clients are already high performers with high potential for even more. We will utilize proven trends in coaching, behavioral science, and neuroscience.

My goal as a coach is to help you …

… Gain Clarity. Build Confidence. Act with Courage. All Balanced with Compassion.

Born and raised in Upstate New York with five siblings, two of which are deaf. In addition to signed language, all my siblings taught me deep lessons of resiliency, compassion, communication, and the value of diverse perspectives. I enjoy hiking in the woods and kayaking in fresh water lakes. My wife and I now live in Belmont, North Carolina and have two grown children.
